To The Fallen Records: Feature in the London Observer

'My whole body was numb. I got up and limped towards the Humvee. A colleague was circling with blood dripping from his face. I shouted but he didn't react and I really thought I was a ghost. I thought I was dead.' In the mangled wreckage lay the body of his best friend. 'I didn't know there was anyone back there. He wasn't meant to be there.' They were both rushed back to the base and Dobbins remembers fighting off the doctors who were trying to give him morphine, desperate to know of Rojas's fate. 'I guess he died slightly after midnight.'

With his friend gone and the memories still raw, Dobbins picked up his guitar and started playing, releasing his emotions, grieving. At that time he thought about something his godmother had said when he was in his teens and struggling to cope with problems in his family: 'People need music; it helps you get through your day.'

I started TTFR over a year ago and I am so proud of the way each of our artists open up to the media. I think it's extremely good for them to get their feelings and emotions out. Every time I read an article or watch one of their videos I am reminded why we continue to go on.

For those that don't know, To The Fallen Records is the world's only military record label. We don't make any money. Our artists are not on MTV or CMT. However, the purpose of the label isn't to do either.

Our mission is to connect the civilian population directly to the service members in the military.

Too often we only hear from politicians and high-ranking generals. Only 9% of the entire country is now currently serving or is a veteran. That leaves over 91% of the public who don't know what it feels like to serve your country. Now they can hear directly from the military members themselves through an unfiltered medium we all can understand and appreciate....music.

The label itself is non-partisan. As long as the music is great we'll put it on a CD. With the military being the microcosm that it is, you will hear music on a range of issues and topics with various viewpoints. Similar to how NWA took you on a tour of Compton and country music opened your eyes to rural America, To The Fallen Records will open your eyes to the military lifestyle.

TTFR on front page of Yahoo News Today!!!!

Military Supporters..........ATTEN....TION!!!!

TTFR was featured on the front page of Yahoo News today!!! You are now allowed to cheer for a 5 count...(5,4,3,2,1)...that's enough!!!

Keep spreading the word about the Label and keep up the support, baby!

We are everywhere!!!

If we are not in your AAFES or MCX, go directly to the manager and tell him you are not leaving the store until he orders more copies!!!! Stage a sit in...picket the CD aisle....tell him/her they are to do push-ups until they get it in (might not be the best idea)....but you get the picture....

Call your local radio stations and tell them you DEMAND to hear To The Fallen: Volume I......don't they support the troops???? If you are a tank driver get in your Abrams and park in front of your local stations!!! Demand our music!

Give them my email, info@tothefallenrecords.com and tell them to give proper respect to the ONLY record label that features music exclusively from the soldiers, marines, airmen, and sailors that defend our fine country....

Thank you and you are all ordered to have a Happy 4th!!!

DISMISSED!!!

We need military rock stars for our next album!!!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

As you all know, our Hip Hop album is doing quite well in AAFES and MCX (if you haven't already picked it up...WHAT are you waiting for???) and we are starting to put together both our Rock compilations and Country compilations.

The music we are getting in is absolutely tremendous. We are getting heavy metal to classic rock to Dave Mathews to rap/rock to acoustic....you name it.......we've gotten it.

That said, we still have a few slots left open on both CDs. If you know a rock star or a country star in the making, here is YOUR chance to be P. Diddy and find that Notorious B.I.G. that's an 11B or be that Simon Cowell and find your Carrie Underwood or....well you get the idea. Here is your chance to tell your roommate to get off his fat *&$ and submit his music to us at To The Fallen Records. He keeps bragging how he was a roadie for Bon Jovi on his Slippery When Wet tour.....well call him out!!! Tell him to submit his music for the chance to be on one of our albums.

Go to www.tothefallenrecords.com/contact and submit your information to Mason James, who is our A&R rep. He will get back to you immediately.

Again, our label does not support any politics whatsoever. We all have our own individual opinions, but we keep them to ourselves in order let the artists speak freely and not feel pressured to submit a certain type of music.

That said, we ARE pro-military. We DO fight for the rights of soldiers and we WILL fight for the troops to be properly outfitted, equipped, trained, informed, etc. We feel that these brave men and women are the best that this country has to offer. Men and Women who are willing to sacrifice SO much more than their time and lives for the betterment of our society....our country...our children and our future.

It is so easy for the civilian population to forget what these members of our society do for us. They forget that the military is stationed throughout the world, working with other militaries, forming alliances, detering nation vs. nation wars, responding to disasters, instilling discipline and pride in country throughout our great nation.

BUT....that is why we are here, baby!!!!......Let's get these musical voices out to the public.

Support To The Fallen Records and it's military artists. It's the least they deserve.

We are a label for the troops.....by the troops.....

Till next time...Keep it military...

A faxed complaint...

This has absolutely nothing to do with the military or the label, but I can't help being outraged...

Does Attorney General Thurbert Baker of Georgia have nothing better to do than appeal a case that was clearly unjust? To make matters worse, the AGs office does not even have email to receive the thousands of complaints that should flood their office in the coming days. I am totally disgusted with the justice system. Thus, I had to resort to sending a fax to the AG...who in the year 2007 still uses a fax?

I happen to use an online fax, but rarely if ever do I even need to use a fax. Of course, I am not surprised that someone who should be available 24/7 to their constituents makes it near impossible to have anyone voice their opinion. They must think that the people of Georgia are apathetic to the decisions of their office. Not the case, I am sure.

The AG appeals what is the most logical decision I have ever seen a court make....I am baffled.

To make matters worse...I just got an email that my faxed FAILED. They really don't care what you think and that is like waving a big red flag in front of your face to tell you. Not only does the AGs office not use email, they don't give out a working fax number.
